OracleFest starts next week

Dear ones -

I want to start off quickly acknowledging - the energy feels heavy out there right now. There's a lot of fear, exhaustion, unrest, and uncertainty. Remember to

  • take some deep breaths,
  • rest (I guide you into some in my last podcast episode, ep 56, if you want some support in that),
  • connect with people you love and feel safe around.

Take yourself offline and invest in things which are real, as well as your longer-distance connections and community.

I suspect one of the most beneficial things we can do in these times is to think of focus as a currency. A precious one, at that - directly connected to our life force energy.

How and where will you spend your focus?

Remember: these times matter, the lack of safety many are facing is real, and these times are one small moment in a larger wheel which is always turning. We have the power to build something different as the old world crumbles. Choose where you spend your focus and energy wisely. <3

Now - a quick note with a little more about OracleFest - an online festival I'm guest speaking at next week.

I met Kate Graham, the founder of OracleFest, back in 2023 when I emailed the Scottish retreat center where she was working about something else and a conversation started. We realized we had a lot in common (including the obvious, our names!) and kept in touch. Eventually, I had her on my podcast (ep 40) where we laughed a lot and talked about our visions of what was happening in the world and the way intuitive gifts (and comedy) seemed to have an important role to play in the future of humanity.

Then last year, she shared her vision for OracleFest with me and I’m excited to be a guest speaker in this inaugural three-day event, January 31-Feb 2. As Kate explains, it’s “a gathering of 25+ visionary speakers, live oracle readings, and transformational sessions designed to deepen your connection with your intuition, awaken your skill and gifts, and guide you into a more aligned, empowered path.”

The speaker lineup holds quite a lot of interesting topics and visionaries. You can check out the speaker schedule here.

I’ll be speaking about Burnout, Land Connection, and Rhythms of Aliveness - how Land Connection is also body connection, ancestral connection, and cultural connection; and how connecting to those things can move us out of cycles of burnout and into feeling more human and more alive.

Other OracleFest Highlights:

  • 25+ Speakers sharing wisdom on starseeds, shamanism, twin flames, sound healing, tarot, mysticism, and more
  • Live Oracle Readings to uncover divine guidance
  • Sound Healing with crystal bowls and sacred music
  • The Mystical Marketplace: Explore oracle decks, spiritual tools, and treasures
  • The Tree of Wisdom: A growing library of insights and resources
  • Guided Shamanic Journeys, ancestral healing, and Starseed activations

Tickets are Pay What You Can starting at just $11. Or upgrade to Full Experience or VIP for exclusive workshops, lifetime recordings, and more. (Payment plans are available for VIP passes).

If you're interested in a weekend of all things mystical, join us on the mountain as we reclaim the role of oracular visions in guiding humanity's path. You're most welcome around the fire.

And if you have questions or curiosities and wonderings about connecting with the land, whether you're attending OracleFest or not, I'd love to hear. What’s been your experience with it or why do you feel it’s important?

with Love,

Kate

P.S. Kate had me on for an Oracle Mountain Chat - so if you'd like to hear her interview me, I thought we had a pretty cool conversation and you can find it here.

Hi! I'm Kate - an intuitive, medicine woman, and guide for embodied Presence

Are you a compassion warrior, culture worker, and rebel who cares deeply about humanity; who's tired of doing all the “right things” and still getting what you’re trying to avoid; and who feels trapped between burning it all down or dying but would rather be wildly, and sacredly alive? I'm an animist and ancestral wisdom guide; ceremonialist, and empath. And I love guiding other humans who want to use their burnout and purpose anxiety as a jumping-off point to journey into their shadows and the shadows of modern society in order to de-armor their hearts; remember a deeper, wilder sense of belonging to the world; and reclaim the rich and sacred spark of their aliveness. This newsletter contains wisdom nuggets, podcast episodes, and invitations to paid and free offerings from my business. All in support of remembering a more animist and land-based culture; holding firm to our humanity in a dehumanizing world; and living with compassion, vulnerability, and reverence.

Hello, dear ones - Today was moving day - I left where I’ve been for the last three and a half weeks in North Cork and headed to Dublin for a few nights in preparation for departing Ireland and heading back to the UK (Wales) early next week. I remember when I was going through my vinyasa yoga teacher training, my teachers, Christen and Preston Scott, would remind us that one of the things we practice in vinyasa yoga is transitioning. Unlike many other forms of yoga, vinyasa encourages flowing...

Dear ones - We have a little influx of new folks to the list here: welcome! When I was younger and I'd travel, I would send long notes out with impressions and experiences from the road. Recently, I've been experimenting with bringing that version of me back and interweaving stories of my nomad trails and pilgrimages with my practices in animism, spirituality, folk tales and traditions, and ancestral wisdom. All to wonder how do we shift from burnout to thriving in these modern times? Today...

Happy Northern Hemisphere, Gregorian Calendar Beltane, everyone! (whew -that’s a mouthful) In Irish Gaelic (and Scottish Gaelic though with a slightly different spelling), the etymology of Beltane breaks down something like this: “Beal” meaning either “bright” or possibly a reference to “Bel”, a Sun God and “tine” meaning “fire”. And in both Irish and Scottish Gaelic, the entire month of May is known as Béaltaine (that’s the Irish spelling). So we’re honoring the start of a longer season and...
